Trusted Sale Announced a Finalist in Atlanta Startup Battle

ATLANTA, May 1, 2018 – Trusted.Sale has been selected as a finalist in the Atlanta Startup Battle. The startup is among five finalist organizations vying for the championship, which began with over 500 applicants.

The goal of the Atlanta Startup Battle, Atlanta's premier startup competition, is to identify and support the next generation of outstanding tech companies.

“We are honored to be recognized as a finalist in the Atlanta Startup Battle,” said Paul Brobson, Trusted.Sale Founder & CEO. “Our goal in building Trusted.Sale is to make peer-to-peer transactions safer, while also increasing the benefit of an outright sale for both the buyer and the seller. Winning this competition would put us one step closer to that goal.”

The Trusted.Sale platform is designed to make in-person peer-to-peer transactions safer and more secure including, but not limited to, transactions that stem from online marketplaces and classified ads.  Trusted.Sale verifies the identity and contact information of both parties to reduce the risk associated with meeting an anonymous buyer or seller. The platform manages the secure transfer of money from the buyer to the seller, creating a cashless transaction. Buyers can schedule meet-ups without fear of carrying large amounts of cash on their person.

With the help of local law enforcement and government agencies who participate in consumer protection programs, the platform also suggests well-known designated safe zones to meet.

“As a startup, this competition presented a unique opportunity and has been a great experience thus far,” said Brobson. “Peer-to-peer sales help sellers and buyers get a better deal by cutting out the middleman, but it can also create a lot of anxiety over potential fraud, scams or personal harm. Trusted.Sale helps to replace worry with trust. We believe there is a need for a platform like Trusted.Sale and the fact that we were chosen as finalists indicates that others see the need, too.”

The Atlanta Startup Battle will be held on Tuesday, May 8 at 6pm at TechSquare Labs in Atlanta, GA.
