Here are a few of their choices.

  • 2019 Subaru Forester – This car features simple controls, great front and rear visibility, and a great array of standard safety features including lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. It is one of the best cars for senior citizens and is priced starting at $24,295.

  • 2019 Subaru Ascent – For senior citizens who are looking for an SUV, this three-row model features a quiet ride with secure handling. Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and lane keep assist. Base MSRP starts at $31,995.

  • 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe- Redesigned in 2019, the Hyundai Santa Fe features a roomy, quiet cabin, clear and easy controls, and standard safety features such as blind spot warning, automatic emergency braking, and forward collision warning. Its base price starts at $25,750.

  • 2020 Toyota Sienna- Senior citizens who prefer to drive a minivan should check out the Toyota Sienna, which features a quiet, comfortable ride. Its standard safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and forward collision warning. Its base price starts at $31,315.

  • 2019 Kia Sorento- This SUV features third-row seating with comfortable seats and easy-to-manage controls. Standard safety features on the EX V6 trim and above include blind spot warning, automatic emergency braking, and forward collision warning. It starts at $26,290.

  • 2019 Infiniti Q70- Some seniors prefer a sedan with a robust V6 or V8 engine, which are both available in this model. It has a smooth ride, roomy rear seat and easy controls.   • 2020 Hyundai Sonata- Redesigned for 2020, this model has advanced standard safety features including rear cross-traffic warning with braking, lane centering, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and forward collision warning. Its standard touch screen controls might be a bit advanced for some senior citizens, but tech-savvy seniors will love its compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This model starts at $22,650.

  • 2019 Honda CR-V – This small SUV model features wider than usual door openings, making it easily accessible for senior citizens. Those who travel will appreciate its cargo space.  It also features a roomy cabin and good handling. The EX and above trims come standard with blind spot warning and automatic emergency braking. This model starts at a price of $24,450.
