What is a Trusted.Sale payment link?

Trusted.Sale payment links are web links that you create and send to buyers so they can pay you using their debit/credit card or other accepted payment methods.

How do I create a Trusted.Sale payment link?

In the Trusted.Sale Dashboard, select “Create New Link” and then enter an Item Title and Price and click on “Create New Link” button.

To create a payment link, you must create a FREE Trusted.Sale account.

Is there a cost to create my Trusted.Sale payment link?

There is no cost to create payment links.

You must create a FREE account with Trusted.Sale in order to create payment links and receive payments from buyers.

How do I share a payment link with a buyer?

There are two ways to share a payment link with a buyer:

1)      Use “SEND LINK” to send the link to a buyer’s email address

2)      Use “COPY LINK” to copy and paste a link into social media, websites, mobile apps or an ad.

How does a buyer use a Trusted.Sale payment link?

Buyers will click on the payment link and open their web browser. They will be auto-directed to buyer page for the item you are selling.

After providing their name for the Bill of Sale, the buyer enters their payment method details and their email address, and submit payment.

An instant confirmation of the transaction is provided to the buyer and an email is automatically sent to the buyer containing their receipt and a link to the executed Bill of Sale.

How long does it take for funds to reach my bank account?

For each successful transaction completed, you will receive instant confirmation via email that the funds are instantly credited to your Trusted.Sale account and scheduled for direct-deposit into your bank account.

Depending on your bank, funds collected from buyers are typically deposited into your bank account within 48 hours. There are exceptions, we suggest you check with your bank.

What is the Bill of Sale?

A Bill of Sale is a document which acknowledges the transaction between the buyer and seller. The Bill of Sale terms must be accepted by the buyer prior to making payment.

The Bill of Sale document contains the following information:

  • Buyer name
  • Seller name
  • Item title
  • Item price
  • Date and time of acceptance

When a buyer clicks on a Trusted.Sale payment link from a Seller, the buyer is promoted to enter the full name which will be added to the Bill of Sale document. Buyers can preview the Bill of Sale prior to accepting the terms.

Once payment has been accepted and the transaction has been completed, a link to the executed Bill of Sale is automatically sent via email to the buyer along with an electronic receipt for payment.

What personal information is required to create a FREE Trusted.Sale account?

To register for your Trusted.Sale account, you must provide your name, address, last 4 digits of your social security number, your email and password. You will also need to provide bank account information (routing and account numbers) so funds can be direct-deposited from Trusted.Sale transactions.

As an extra measure of security, all new accounts require email activation prior to using the Trusted.Sale service.

What is my personal information used for?

When you register for your Trusted.Sale account, the personal information you submit is matched against publicly available data sources to verify your identity. Verifying your identity helps establish you as a trusted seller and gives potential buyers added “peace of mind.”

Your personal information is encrypted, and not stored, nor shared with the buyer or anyone else.

Is my personal bank information secure?
