What is a "Trusted.Sale payment link?"
When you reach agreement to purchase an item, the Seller will send you a special Trusted.Sale payment link which you can use to send secure payment to the seller using your computer or smart phone.
What information do I need to provide to pay using Trusted.Sale?
In addition to your credit/debit card data, we ask you to provide us with your email address, so we can send you a receipt and bill of sale. This assures you will have a record of your transaction with the seller.
How much does it cost to use Trusted.Sale?
In addition to the purchase price for an item sold, there is no service fee charged to buyers. Sellers pay a small transaction fee.
Which types of payment methods can I use to pay?
Credit cards, debit cards and pre-paid debit cards can all be used for purchases. Click here for a fill list of accepted payment methods.
Can I use more than one card to “split” the payment?
You cannot split the payment for the same transaction across more than one card, presently.
However, you could ask the Seller to split the transaction into 2 (or more) Trusted.Sale payment links which you could then pay using different payment methods.

However, you could ask the Seller to split the transaction into 2 (or more) Trusted.Sale payment links which could be paid by different payers (using different payment methods). NOTE: In this case, discrete bill of sale documents would be issued for each payer involved in the transaction.
Is my payment data stored by Trusted.Sale?
Security is one of the biggest considerations in everything we do. When using Trusted.Sale Payments, social security and tax ID numbers, credit card and bank account numbers are securely encrypted, transmitted to and stored with Stripe, our payment processor. Absolutely no credit card, bank account, social security and tax ID numbers are stored on our servers nor do we have access to the un-encrypted data. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor, and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available. Any other sensitive data that is stored on our servers is securely encrypted.
How will I know my payment has been approved?
After you submit your payment, you will be immediately notified if the transaction was approved or declined.
An email receipt and link to the copy of your Bill of Sale will be sent to you, instantly upon approval.
What data is shared with the Seller after I am approved?
None of your personally identifiable information is shared with the Seller (unless you choose to share on your own).
When(and how) will my payment appear in my card account statement
The length of time varies by financial institution. Please check with your financial institution to determine how and when they choose to include debit/credit transactions on your accounts and statements. The merchant name that can appear in your statement can also vary depending on the financial institution, and may be displayed as either "Trusted.Sale" , "Twin Bison, LLC", "Stripe" or other.
